I heard this the first time on a cruise thru the Panama Canal played/sung by a duet. The electric violin and guitar. I bought the CD then went on a shopping rampage to find this sung by the original singer. What a pleasure. The words are very special. The melody is exceptional. Great song!
sharon cuneta and freddie aguillar did a duet once with his medley at her SHARON CUNETA SHOW it was beautiful. wish they could have released it on an album. SHE DID SING ‘anak” from VILMA SANTOS movie same title 2007- AMAZING VOICE for this music!
Di malaman ang gagawin
Minamasdan pati pagtulog mo
(i was chosen to act this song,,im kinda nervous or i’ll just cry in the middle of the show)

this song make my memory back to year 1977…hu hu,,,this song already combine with english and tagalog…never mind..good song by good singer..Freedie also record this song in Malay..or BAHASA MALAYSIA..
Ah, about this being adapted into various languages:
I’ve heard Ka Freddie didn’t take out a copyright for this one. I’ve been searching for some truth to the tale (and I hope it isn’t true… woe Freddie!), and all I’ve come up with is wasted money. Does someone know?
To those who defend Freddie Aguilar, go to google search and type FREDDIE AGUILAR COMMENTS and you can read thousands of negative comments Freddie Aguilar got. I cant even believe that such a freakin load of bullshit would come out of the mouth of one of my formerly respected musicians. Now, the question is: would Charice Pempengco ever get the fame shes enjoying right now if she started out by singing Dahil Sa Iyo on Oprah?

Outstanding!
If this song could ever get translated into the West?
It’d be Quardruple Gold!
The Problem is in the west? Half the parents don’t care about their kids and vice versa so the song wouldnt mean much.
Such a beautiful song though.

“you proved way beyond what I could have hope for, that was an amazing performance”.

Magaling. This song is truly ours. I can only hope more artists will perform and make more authentic Filipino music.

If this song won any awards, I’m not aware of it. I heard he won a national award for some other song he wrote (I don’t know what, though).

Really, now? So he regrets dumping his college studies to focus on music?
